Peruvian Black Mesquite is a black male out of Peruvian Heidra (black) and 4Peruvian Matador (black), who sold in our 2001 Breeder’s Choice Auction for $70,000. Like his incredible sire before him, Peruvian Black Mesquite is already producing champions in every color.
I offer as evidence his daughter, Black Color Champion Peruvian Ineffable and Black Color Champion CB Delissa, owned by Kathleen & David Van Gelder, Cedar Brook Alpacas.
When Mesquite sired the occasional lighter colored alpaca when bred to light-colored females, they were equally competitive in their color classes. Look at multi-champion fawn female Peruvian Butterball pictured
below!
Peruvian Mesquite’s rock solid color genetics and his incredibly dense, crimpy fleece makes this pre-potent male “one of a kind.”
We are limiting breedings to Mesquite, so sign up soon!
