After a very successful show career including a First
Place at the 1997 MAPACA show, a First Place at the 1997 Expo, and a First
Place at both the 1997 and 1998 Fiberfest fleece shows, Peruvian Dakotia
has been retired to stud. He is an awesome fawn male with excellent
density, outstanding fleece character and perfect conformation.
Often times, his crias have been darker than he or the dam
and they have consistently had his excellent fleece characteristics,
perfect conformation, and strong bone.
Dakotia's crias were a big part of our 2002 showstring,
and just as important a part of 2003! Have a look at his incredible
son Jericho's list of accolades and you will see what we are talking
about. Unfortunately, Dakotia was killed by the poisonous batch of Land 'O Lakes feed that devastated many alpaca farms northern
Ohio in early 2003, so his outstanding genetics are no longer available. |
