"Awesome fleece character and deep
crimping"… these are words which are typically used to describe Accipiter’s fleece. He has a tightly crimped, extremely dense fleece with excellent… no, OUTSTANDING bundling! While we barely showed him (he was too young in 1999 and injured his eye in the winter of early 2000), he won Reserve Color Champion at the 2000 AOBA National Conference, coming from the second place position moving forward. He and his brother Peruvian Jeronimo have won Produce of Dam for Peruvian Epifania at the 1999 AOBA National Conference, the 2000 AOBA National Conference, and the 2000 MAPACA Jubilee - all this in 2000 in spite of the fact that his face was partially shaved because of his eye injury, which has since healed completely. In 2001, his beautiful fleece placed first in the very competitive white class at the AOBA National Conference Fleece Show in Portland, Oregon. His offspring are inheriting his density and outstanding fleece characteristics and he also passes along color from the dam. Accipiter is a real winner in every way that counts.
