 The breeding of multi-colored alpacas is a wonderful market niche that is growing in popularity. It is a recognized ARI color group and MFI Peruvian Persia, shown here showing off her AOBA blue ribbon, is one of the best representatives of this unique color grouping. She has a lovely phenotype and presence, excellent conformation, and a dense, crimpy, lustrous fleece with multiple crimps per inch. She’s the total package and unique to boot!Persia is at an age where her new owners can immediately show her or go ahead and breed her soon. It is very hard for us to sell her as she is our only female offspring from My Peruvian Chance who sold in our 2002 Breeder’s Choice auction. Chance has been producing outstanding offspring for his new owners and My Peruvian Persia is a lovely example. Persia’s dam has produced a pinto before when bred to black, so breed her to a pinto male for your multi-breeding program or breed her to another light colored male for a solid color! |
